Higher order mobile robotics
How MiR Fleet enables you to take full advantage of your AMR system
If you see MiR autonomous mobile robots (AMR) as just a means of moving goods from A to B, chances are you haven’t yet discovered the full capability of MiRFleet software. Consisting of two main components – the on-robot software that governs an AMR’s individual movements and the centralized fleet control software – MiRFleet is the brain that makes advanced AMR-based internal logistics possible.
It’s easy to get started with MiRFleet, and once your company has taken that crucial first step, you’ll never look at your fleet the same way again.
From fleet to system
A few years ago, even two or three MiR units were seen as an advanced AMR setup. Today, warehouses, factories and other facilities are deploying large numbers of MiR AMRs. These units can work side by side as individuals, but the more units you deploy, the greater your need for coordinating, controlling, and managing your fleet as a single internal logistics system. Software is the key.
Scale, integrate, operate
MiRFleet lets you scale your fleet quickly and efficiently – even for fleets of up to 100 robots. Multi-robot mission planning, advanced map handling and more make it easy to create a fine-masked network of robots handling many tasks.
As you scale, you’ll want to interface your MiRFleet control system with your company’s ERP, WMS and other systems for even more broadly coordinated internal logistics planning and operation. MiRFleet provides this integration via the OpenAPI protocol.
Finally, your operators will need to plan and manage your fleeting easily, without a lot of costly training. MiRFleet enables this via an intuitive web-based interface that can be accessed via an computer or tablet device.
After programming, MiRFleet automatically handles priorities and selects suitable robots for tasks – while keeping operators informed about obstacles and other barriers to task completion.
An ensemble of top performers
Of course the performance of your fleet as a whole depends on top performing individual AMRs, and the on-board software guaranties the speed and agility you expect from an MiR robot.
Individual robot speed and agility are critical for fast mission completion, which in turn ensures higher overall throughput and a higher return on your investment in automated logistics.
All that and we’re still just getting started
At MiR, we invest heavily in software development. We have a very ambitious roadmap for future versions of MiRFleet, with a new, even more robust technology stack, higher performance and additional enterprise features and capabilities in store for 2022.
